Mulled Drinks with Alcohol

Here are 5 different ideas for adult beverages using apple cider, juice and wine with Stuart's Mulling Spice blend.

Mulled Cider with Rum (Version One)

Ingredients:
8 cups cider
3 Tbsp. Stuart's Spices Mulling Spices
2 cups rum
1 tsp. vanilla
Stuart's Spices "Sugar and Spice" Rim Sugar

Directions:

  • Place the mulling spices in a cheesecloth bag or tea ball.
  • Put the cider in a pot, add the mulling spices and simmer for ten minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and discard the mulling spices.
  • Add the rum and vanilla.
  • Rim glasses with the Sugar and Spice and serve.

Mulled Cider with Rum (Version Two)

Ingredients:
8 cups cider
3 Tbsp. Stuart's Spices Mulling Spices
¼ cup brown sugar
2 cups rum
butter
Stuart's Spices Cinnamon

Directions:

  • Place the mulling spices in a cheesecloth bag or tea ball.
  • Put the cider in a pot, add the mulling spices and brown sugar. Simmer for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from the heat and discard the mulling spices.
  • Add the rum.
  • Before serving, rim glasses with butter and cinnamon.

Mulled Cider with Brandy

Ingredients:
3 cups cider
2 Tbsp. Stuart's Spices Mulling Spices
1 cup orange juice
½ cup brandy

Directions:

  • Place the mulling spices in a cheesecloth bag or tea ball.
  • Combine all the liquids in a pot and add the mulling spices.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve while hot.

Mulled Cranberry Juice with Vodka

Ingredients:
4 cups cranberry juice
2-3 Tbsp. Stuart's Spices Mulling Spices
1 cup vodka

Directions:

  • Place the mulling spices in a cheesecloth bag or tea ball.
  • Put the cranberry juice in a pot and add the mulling spices.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vodka.

Mulled Wine

Ingredients:
8 cups cider
3-4 Tbsp. Stuart's Spices Mulling Spices

Directions:

  • Place the mulling spices in a cheesecloth bag or tea ball.
  • Place the wine in a pot and add the mulling spices.
  • Simmer for 10-15 minutes, then serve and enjoy!
