Sausage hash is an easy dish full of wonderful flavors. Using fresh apples, ground pork, and our Apple Pie Spice, it's a game changer in the kitchen.
This hash makes a stellar addition to any breakfast, or you can add it to your favorite queso dip for a medley of Autumn flavors. Be careful or you may eat the entire bag of tortilla chips all by yourself.
For the sausage mix:
• 1lb ground pork
• 2 tsp sage
• 1 tsp Garlic Granules
• 1 tsp Onion Granules
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Add olive oil to the pan, warm on medium heat
3. Add pork and spices
4. Mix well until pork is crumbly and spices are evenly distributed
5. Once the pork is browned, remove from heat and drain any excess oil
6. Set aside
For the hash:
• 1 green bell pepper
• 1/2 large sweet onion
• 1-2 medium white/russet potatoes
• 1-2 medium red apples (empire work well)
• 1/2 tsp garlic granules
• 1/2 tsp onion granules
• 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp Stuart's Spices Apple Pie Spice
• The prepared sausage mix from above
1. Dice the onion, pepper, potatoes, and apples
2. Get a cooking sheet ready with non-stick spray or aluminum foil
3. Add diced apple, onion, pepper, potatoes, and your prepared sausage mix to the sheet
4. Add remaining spices and mix
5. Bake 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are cooked through
6. Serve warm
