Cilantro is one of the most widely used herbs in the world and is derived from the same plant, Coriandrum Sativum. The leaves of this plant are referred to as cilantro, while the seeds are most commonly called coriander.

In Mexico and the Southwestern U.S. it is used in everything from salsas and salads to burritos or meat dishes.
