What makes a great steak rub? A seasoning that makes your mouth water and makes whatever cut of meat you have go from good to amazing! We believe that a great steak or butcher’s rub isn’t just about the choice of ingredients, but also about how they are combined.
Butcher Rubs generally imply a coarser grind of spices, and we subscribe to this thinking. We don’t stop there, though. We incorporate more finely ground spices, as well. This way, you get both bold flavor bursts along with a consistent, full flavor in every bite.
Shake the Butcher’s Rub liberally on both sides of the piece of meat. For best results, let it set for at least 1 hour. It can set, covered, overnight in your refrigerator. Bring the meat to room temperature before grilling to allow for even cooking.
Butcher's Rub is also great in burgers, meatballs, Sheppard's Pie and other recipes. Combine 1 to 1 ½ Tbsp Butcher's Rub per pound of ground beef, turkey, venison or other meats.
