Spicy meat sauces on top of hot dogs and burgers are famous here in Rochester. This dry seasoning blend takes all the guesswork out of cooking the perfect topping for your burger plate. Sauté onion, brown ground meat, add our seasoning, and let it simmer a few hours. Mmm...Mmm good! Since it takes a few hours to simmer, we like to make a large batch and then freeze it in smaller sized containers for future use. That way we always have some on hand when the urge hits for a hot dog or burger. Another great thing about the seasoning blend? You can use any kind of ground meat – beef, turkey, chicken, even ground soy or texurized vegetable protein (TVP). After all, vegetarians should be able to enjoy a vegetarian plate, shouldn’t they?
