Floral and citrus flavors combine in the perfect tea time treat!
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 stick cold unsalted butter, sliced
2 large lemons, zest and juice separate
2 tablespoons lemon juice set aside for glaze
2 tablespoons

1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup confectioners sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F and In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the cold butter and blend it into the mix until it becomes crumbly, next add poppy seeds, lavender, and lemon zest from 2 lemons, and mix well.
Add 3 tablespoons lemon juice, milk, and egg.
Stir until a dough forms, then gently knead until everything is combined.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and flatten into a 1″ circle and cut into approximately 3″ sized triangles.
Brush the top of each scone with a little melted butter and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
While scones are baking mix the glaze: In a small bowl, mix confectioners sugar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Let cool and drizzle with prepared glaze!
