Molten Chocolate Chip Cookies

And we do mean molten! Made with our volcanic seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package chocolate chips
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon Stuart’s Spices Volcanic Seasoning, depending on how spicy you want them

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shortening and butter, and mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla and mix.
  4. Sift in flour, baking soda, salt, and volcanic seasoning, mixing in the chocolate chips after everything has mostly blended together.
  5. Roll into 1-inch balls and line evenly on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.

Tips

Want it to be easier to roll? Chill the dough first!
