Autumn Anytime Burgers

Perfectly seasoned turkey burgers with cranberry chutney and Havarti cheese.


For the burgers:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon Stuart’s Spices Burger Blast
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • splash of milk


For the cranberry chutney:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • splash of lemon juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • Stuart’s Spices Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • dash of salt


For the herbaceous mayo: 

  • ½ cup mayo
  • Stuart’s Spices Rubbed Sage
  • Stuart’s Spices Chives
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • dash of salt


Remaining ingredients: 

  • Brioche buns
  • Greens
  • Havarti cheese


  1. In a small sauce pot, add all chutney ingredients and bring to a boil
  2. Reduce the heat on the chutney and let simmer while stirring occasionally, until it cooks down, about 15-20 minutes
  3. While the chutney cooks, in a small bowl mix mayo and spices, salting to taste, and then set aside in the refrigerator
  4. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine all burger ingredients and mix gently, careful not to overwork the meat as the burgers will become tough
  5. Press out the patties to desired weight, we did thinner, quarter pound patties
  6. Bring a medium-size cast iron or standard pan to a medium-high heat with a little splash of olive oil
  7. Cook 8-9 minutes each side, until internal temperature of burger reaches 165° F
  8. Toast your buns, layer up your burgers, and enjoy!


Like it spicy? Add some extra heat to your burger with some pickled jalapenos or some crushed red pepper!
