Chickpea “Tuna”

A delicious vegan alternative to tuna!


  • 1 15 ounce can chickpeas
  • 1 teaspoon tahini
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1½ tablespoon relish
  • 1 tablespoon Stuart’s Spices Salad Seasoning
  • 1 diced celery stalk
  • 2 tablespoons of liquid from the chickpeas


  1. Drain chickpeas, saving the liquid
  2. Mash chickpeas with potato masher, then set aside
  3. Mix chickpea liquid, tahini, relish, and Salad Seasoning in a bowl
  4. Stir in with mashed chickpeas and diced celery
  5. Let rest or chill before serving


Serve over salad or stuffed inside of cored red bell peppers! Or you can eat it on bread like a classic tuna sandwich, or serve with crackers for a tasty snack!
