Rochester Style Cincinnati Chili

A local Rochester spin on Cincinnati Chili, we’re using meat sauce seasoning to bring the heat and flavor!

  • 2-3 sweet onions, diced
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2-3 tablespoons Stuart’s Spices Rochester Meat Sauce Seasoning
  • 2 15 ounce cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 15 ounce cans of kidney beans
  • 2-4 ounces light beer, why not use a Genny?
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti, cooked al dente
  • Freshly shredded cheddar cheese, it will melt better than pre-shredded
  • Finely diced red onion, for garnish

  1. In a large pot, sauté diced onions in olive oil, cooking until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until meat is almost done.
  3. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons Rochester Meat Sauce Seasoning.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and beans and mix well.
  5. If more liquid is desired, add 2-4 ounces of a light beer.
  6. Simmer at least 45 minutes.
  7. Serve over spaghetti, garnish with red onion and cheddar cheese.
