Rochester Style Cincinnati Chili

A local Rochester spin on Cincinnati Chili, we’re using meat sauce seasoning to bring the heat and flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 sweet onions, diced
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2-3 tablespoons Stuart’s Spices Rochester Meat Sauce Seasoning
  • 2 15 ounce cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 15 ounce cans of kidney beans
  • 2-4 ounces light beer, why not use a Genny?
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti, cooked al dente
  • Freshly shredded cheddar cheese, it will melt better than pre-shredded
  • Finely diced red onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté diced onions in olive oil, cooking until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until meat is almost done.
  3. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons Rochester Meat Sauce Seasoning.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and beans and mix well.
  5. If more liquid is desired, add 2-4 ounces of a light beer.
  6. Simmer at least 45 minutes.
  7. Serve over spaghetti, garnish with red onion and cheddar cheese.

Tips

Like it spicy? Try it with shredded cheddarjack and pickled jalapenos!
