Roasted Sesame Bok Choy

The perfect accompaniment to stir fry, rice dishes, or just as a lunch snack.


  • 1.5 pounds baby bok choy halved or quartered
  • 3  garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce 
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil, can use toasted
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced 
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
  • 1 tablespoon Stuart’s Spices Sesame Seeds


  1. Preheat the oven to 450° F
  2. Mix together the garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl
  3. Place the bok choy on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray
  4. Drizzle the sauce evenly over the bok choy
  5. Roast the bok choy for 7-10 minutes, or until the stems are tender, exact cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of the bok choy
  6. Remove from oven and top with sesame seeds


Works really well as a side dish to our Thai Sweet Chili Chicken or as the perfect, crunchy addition to your lunches.
