Rochester Plates Meat Sauce

Takes the guesswork out of making meat sauce for your favorite Rochester plate!



  1. Start by cooking down the chopped onion over medium heat until translucent
  2. Add ground chuck and cook until brown
  3. Season with Rochester Plates Meat Sauce Seasoning to taste
  4. Mix thoroughly, cooking for 15-20 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken, you can add 1/2 cup of water for a thinner sauce
  5. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving to let the flavors settle


If you want a smoother meat sauce, let the meat sauce cool completely and then use an emulsion blender or food processor to blend it down to desired texture.

Note: This recipe freezes well!
