State Fair Chicken

Bring the delicious festivities to your home!


  • 4-5 chickens, halved or quartered
  • 1 package Stuart’s Spices State Fair Chicken Seasoning
  • 4 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups light tasting oil, we used vegetable


Note: The entire packet will make 1.5 quarts of marinade, so you can easily cut it in half or quarter the recipe if you’re making less!


  1. Mix oil, vinegar, and State Fair seasoning together
  2. Set some aside to use for basting when the chicken is being cooked
  3. Marinate the chicken for at least 1-2 hours before cooking, or overnight
  4. Get grill to medium-high heat and place chicken on, careful not to crowd
  5. Before flipping, baste with extra marinade
  6. Grill until internal temperature is 165° F
  7. Serve with salt potatoes and corn on the cob!


If cooking chicken in the oven, roast at 400° F to get crispy results and 375° F for a slower cooked approach.
