Sumac Simple Syrup

Perfect for seltzer, mocktails, or any number of cocktails!

Ingredients

For the syrup:

  • 2 tablespoons Stuart’s Spices Ground Sumac
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • Cheesecloth, fine mesh strainer, or coffee filter for straining

 

What you’ll need for your drink: 

  • Your favorite seltzer
  • Fresh fruit
  • Citrus slices, we love limes!

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pot, bring water and sugar to boil and then add sumac
  2. Once sugar and sumac dissolve, remove from heat and strain immediately to remove any clumps
  3. Let cool before adding to your favorite drink and enjoy!

Tips

Will stay better preserved if refrigerated!
