Greek Oregano offers a sweet, spicy aroma. Its name, loosely translated from Greek, means Joy of the Mountain, and we agree! When dried, this herb actually becomes more flavorful and aromatic. Used in most Italian dishes as well as other Mediterranean, Mexican, and Middle Eastern cuisine. This herb was made popular in the U.S. during WWII when American soldiers brought it home from Italy.
Pairs well with basil, rosemary, sage, thyme, and marjoram. Great with meat, fish, pasta sauces, egg dishes, cheese, and veggies.
At your next pizza party be sure to put out Stuart's Spices Oregano to add more flavor to every slice. Of course you will need our Crushed or Utica Cut Red Pepper flakes as well!
