Black cardamom is going to have a sharper flavor than green cardamom pods, with smoky notes derived from the method of drying.

Unlike green cardamom, this spice is rarely used in sweet dishes. It accents hearty meat stews or braised dishes wonderfully! You can use the entire pod or crack it to just use the seeds.
