Mustard Kit, Stuart’s Stout


This mustard is so easy to make, you can put it in a jar and forget about it. The flavor is robust, tangy, and delicious. Perfect for pretzels, or for putting on your hot dogs and burgers.

To make the mustard: Combine one package of the stout mustard mix, 6 ounces of your favorite stout beer, and 4 ounces of red wine vinegar into a quart container. Cover and let it sit at room temperature for 2-3 days. Transfer mustard to a food processor and pulse until seeds are coarsely ground and mixture thickens, which could take 5-8 minutes. Makes approximately two cups of mustard. Refrigerate after making.
